BEET - School Building"I have studied in BEET twice. I love this school, all the teachers and the staff want the best for you. BEET is not a normal school, it's a family. I improved my English, met many friends from all over the world, learnt about British culture and had fun. The activities make you learn all the time, it's 24 hours learning English because you stay in school all day and at night. You can take part in the social activities. BEET and my hostfamily helped me all the time to improve my English and to enjoy the UK. It makes BEET the best school in the world!" Giulio B. Alexandrino, Brazil

More About BEET

BEET - Classroom with interactive whiteboardEvery student that arrives at BEET will be given an entry test to determine your level of English and place you in an appropriate class. This is then followed by a welcome session including a tour of Bournemouth. Students will find that they are taught by 2 to 4 teachers each day, depending on which course they’ve chosen. All teachers are highly-motivated specialists in the teaching of English to speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and each possesses a Teaching Certificate or Diploma. Many teachers have taught in other countries which has given them an invaluable insight into the problems you may face when studying abroad.

All students at BEET follow a core programme that is based on four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and choose one or two optional specialisation subjects on top of that. Options include, amongst others, speaking and pronunciation practice, IELTS exam preparation, Business English, English for Tourism and Hotel & Hospitality or English for Media. Throughout the course emphasis is placed on encouraging your fluency and confidence in the English language and teachers will employ the most efficient techniques to ensure you develop accurate grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

BEET - CanteenThe school building has great charm and character. Now modernised, the school is equipped with 16 classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards, library and bookshop and 2 self-access centres with computers available to students. All students have access to free wireless broadband, video facilities and a canteen. As part of its courses, all students can look forward to an extensive social programme including 2 evening lectures per week covering topics such as British history, culture, literature, music and theatre. The school also organises evening activities including film evenings, revues (a theatrical evening of comedy and music performed by staff), games, quizzes, pub visits, sports and Saturday excursions which allows students to visit places such as London, Oxford, Bath, Salisbury & Stonehenge.

"I am a teacher of English as a foreign language in my country, Argentina, and I have always fancied living and studying in England! When I knew that I had been given the great opportunity to undertake the Refresher Course in Language and Methodology, I felt absolutely delighted and many ideas as regards the course, the institution and the host family came to my mind. I was really looking forward to meeting that unknown world of English." Carla Giuliano Albo, Argentina
