Kingsway English Centre

Kingsway English Centre – Executive English for Professional People

Located in the centre of the historic cathedral city of Worcester, Kingsway English Centre (KEC) is an executive English language teaching centre that offers intensive English language course that attracts students from all over the world. KEC’s typical student body consists of motivated adults with an average age of 36 of which many are professionals and business executives working at middle and senior managerial level. KEC’s exceptional attitude to quality has received a number of outside recommendations. In 2010 KEC was named a ‘Centre of Excellence’  by the EL Gazette and the British Council inspection report awarded KEC no less than 14 points of excellence, a feat achieved by very few English language schools in the UK.

What Makes Kingsway Programmes so Special?

Kingsway English CentreCourses at KEC are taught in small groups by experienced and qualified teaching staff of which many publish and present nationally and internationally. About half of the teaching staff are from a business background themselves. Study groups are small consisting of no more than 6 students, something not often found at language schools. This means that every student can look forward to lots of personal attention and help from academic staff throughout their stay at KEC. KEC offers intensive courses and students will spend at least 26 hours per week in the classroom. In addition students can opt to study an extra 7 hours per week in the self-access study centre where teacher support is available to help you through your programme. During lessons priority is given to developing your speaking and listening skills although lessons do also include reading, writing and grammar.

One-to-one lessonStudents can look forward to an interesting weekly cultural and sports activity schedule. Included in the tuition fees are 2 evening activities each week and 1 full-day excursion during the weekend to places such as London, Stonehenge, The Cotswolds, Bath or Stratford-upon-Avon. Activity programmes can be tailored to one’s personal interest for those students seeking to do something very different such as a visit to a premiership football match or horse-riding or golf.
