Why Babylon Idiomas?

Barcelona, Sagrada Familia Babylon offers a small number of highly personalised Spanish language courses that are taught by experienced, qualified teaching staff that are all native Spanish speakers. Babylon’s courses are primarily aimed towards developing conversational skills whilst also building up all-round Spanish language skills including writing and comprehension. This means that only Spanish is spoken in class, even in those for beginners. Babylon’s teaching materials and methodology stimulates class discussion and student interaction and as classes are taught in small groups of no more than 10 students maximum, each student can look forward to receiving lots of personal attention. The school also uses a unique rotational teacher system which ensures that students quickly get used to different voices and characters to further aid their learning.

Spanish + Flamenco	Students will choose Flamenco classes on top of any of the above programmes. Flamenco courses are held in a professional dance academy. This course is available in Sevilla only.	As per Intensive courses start dates
Spanish + Salsa	Students will choose Salsa classes on top of any of the above programmes. Mi Profe – Spanish Homestay Programme	Live and learn with an accredited private Spanish language teacher and fully immerse yourself in Spanish culture. Students stay between 1 and 4 weeks and can choose between 15,20 or 30 private classes per week.
DELE Exam Preparation**	20 hours per week. The DELE course prepares for the official DELE Spanish language certificate Inicial (A2), Intermedio (B2) or Superior (C2) level. Beginners require a minimum of 9 weeks of General Spanish for Inicial, 18 weeks for Intermedio and at least 26 weeks for the Superior level exams.	DELE exam dates in 2011: 02/05, 01/08, 31/10. Course start date depending on level. Please check with Intercambio

*Culture classes cover topics such as: History of Spain, Architecture, Wine Tasting, Spanish Film, Gastronomy, etc.
**Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera/Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language. The only official Spanish Ministry of Education recognized Spanish language certificate for non-Spanish speakers.

Accommodation

All international students are guaranteed accommodation for the duration of their studies and students can choose from 4 different options:

Family Stay

A standard bedroom in a family’s house and your own keys (a maximum of 2 other students may share the same house.)
Two meal options available, either Breakfast only or Half Board (breakfast + dinner.)
Bed linen and towels are provided
All utility charges are included.
Student can receive telephone calls.
Includes free Wifi access so you can bring your own laptop.
All family homes are no more than 30 minutes away from the school by public transport.

Shared Apartment

A standard bedroom (single or shared, depending on your preferences) in a centrally located apartment with your own set of keys.
All utility charges are included.
Bed linen is provided. There are no towels.
Includes free Wifi access so you can bring your own laptop.
All shared apartments are no more than 30 minutes away from the school.
Please note that in Barcelona and Madrid, the proprietor often lives on site.

Please note: You can enrol a single student for a double room and we’ll guarantee a match provided the booking has been received at least 4 weeks before the arrival date. If we do not find a match, we will contact you to request your approval to upgrade the student to a single room.

A large sized single room with study desk set in a far superior central location with your own set of keys. Please note that in Barcelona and Madrid, the proprietor often lives on site.

Standard Apartment

A standard bedroom with double bed so two people can share an apartment.
Each apartment has a living room with a colour TV and video, a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. There is no telephone.

Includes free Wifi access so you can bring your own laptop.
All apartments are no more than 20 minutes away from the school by public transport.
