14 FEBRUARY AND 25 MARCH 2012 - PLEASE CLICK FOR MORE INFO

Students normally start an undergraduate Bachelor degree course after having completed secondary or pre-university education. Different countries use different names for pre-university education (e.g. A-Levels, High School or Preparatoria.)

Bachelor Degree Courses

In the UK undergraduate courses lead to a Bachelor qualification such as the:

  • Course CertificateBachelor of Arts (BA)
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB)
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)

Most Bachelor degree courses are 3 years in length but others, such as the Master of Engineering (MEng), take 4 years to complete. A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery usually takes 5 years to complete.

In order to qualify for a Bachelor degree course students need to have completed their pre-university education to a high standard. Students from some countries may be required to first complete a special University Foundation programme before they are eligible for admission into the first year of a UK Bachelor degree. Intercambio offers many different foundation routes which, upon successful completion, all come with guaranteed entry into the first year of a Bachelor degree course at many top UK universities.
